The increasing number of corona patients over the last two months has created a worrying situation in the state. In the last few days, 60 to 65 thousand patients have been found in the state.

Although the figures have raised concerns, experts say they will be a bit of a relief to the people of the state. According to experts, the growth rate in Maharashtra has stabilized over the last few days. Therefore, in the next few days, this increase will stabilize and then decrease.

According to the study conducted by the scientists, the cases would reach the 10 lakh mark, as seen in September 2020. In the past, a mathematical approach called SUTRA examined the first wave of accelerated infections and concluded that the cases would peak in September and drop in February 2021. Now, this model has been used by scientists, including Prof. Manindra Agrawal from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur who are anticipating the highest daily spikes in mid-April.

An academician from IIT's Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Professor Agarwal was a part of the national 'super model' scheme. He said that a daily count of 80,000-90,000 cases can be expected during the peak time. "We will cross the peak (during April 15-20) and then there will be very a sharp drop over the next 15-20 days," said Agrawal.

Commenting on the situation of corona in Maharashtra, Professor Maninder Agarwal of IIT Kanpur said that there are indications that the number of corona cases in Maharashtra has reached a record high. The picture shows the same from the statistics of the last few days. So you will see a decrease in the number of patients in Maharashtra in the next few days.

Agarwal also said that the corona peak has arrived in cities like Mumbai, Pune and Thane in Maharashtra or the statistics in these cities are moving towards the peak. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh have also seen the expected outbreak. If the growth continues, the corona peaks in these states next week and then the number of patients will decrease, he added.

Meanwhile, the highest corona outbreak in the country is expected to reach its peak by April 25. Agarwal also predicted that the number of patients would decrease after that. The number of corona patients in the country has quadrupled in the last few days. But at the same time, the number of patients in Maharashtra doubled. This indicates that the corona peak has arrived in Maharashtra, Agarwal said.
