Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has convened a high-level meeting today to review the Corona situation in the state, in which a decision on partial lockdown in the state can be taken. The government had ordered night curfew a few days ago, but there are still crowds in many places, with action being taken against those who do not wear masks.

The increasing number of covid cases in the state has raised concerns for the Thackeray government. Meanwhile, now state Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Vijay Vadettiwar has given important information about Mumbai local train.

When Vijay Vadettiwar was asked about Mumbai Local trains, he replied saying lockdown will not be affordable for the general public. There will be restrictions but no lockdown.

Vadettiwar has said that Mumbai local will not be closed. Emphasis will be placed on how to reduce congestion. Restrictions will be tightened even if there is no lockdown. Local passengers will be segmented. It has been said that the local will not be closed but restrictions will be imposed.

On Thursday, 43,183 coronavirus were found in the state, while 249 people died. At present there are 3 lakh 66 thousand 533 active patients in the state.

Due to the increasing number of patients in Mumbai, it may be decided to continue local trains, which is considered as the lifeline of Mumbai, only for essential services and government employees. The state may decide to implement a partial lockdown as the number of corona patients increases. Accordingly decision to close malls, cinemas, theaters and private establishments is likely to be taken in the cities where the number of patients has increased. There is little chance of a complete lockdown in the state, but officials in the ministry and leaders of the Mahavikas Alliance are holding meetings with the chief minister on 'Varsha' to find a middle ground.
