COVID-19 Pune: If cases continue to rise, lockdown is the only option, says Ajit Pawar

The situation in Pune is very serious and people have to wear masks and follow physical distancing. Corona cases are on the rise in Pune. 50 percent of the beds will be reserved in private hospitals. There are 316 vaccination centres in urban and rural areas which will soon be doubled, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that a decision on lockdown will be taken next Friday.

After the review meeting, Pune Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar held a press conference. From April 1, any events that are representative of the people should close private events. Do the wedding on the lawn or anywhere else the number should not exceed 50. Not more than 20 people will be allowed to attended funeral.

The number of corona caes have increased over the previous time. The night curfew will be re-imposed again. Pawar has warned that if the rules are not followed, if cases continue to rise for the next 5-6 days, a tough decision will have to be taken on April 2.

Ceremonies other than marriage should be stopped completely. Parks and gardens will remain open only in the morning. Malls, markets, cinema houses will be kept open with 50 per cent attendance. Public transport will continue, the oxygen plant is close to Chakan, so there is no supply issue, if there is shortage, we will talk to Rajgad. Ajit Pawar has said that lockdown is being considered as there is no alternative to lockdown if he wants to break the second wave of corona. .

The beds in jumbo covid centre in Pune city will start at full capacity and jumbo covid centre in Pimpri Chinchwad will be fully operational from April 1. In Sassoon hopital 500 covid beds will be made available instead of 300. Pawar said if we want to break the second wave of corona, lockdown is not an option.
