The prevalence of corona in Maharashtra is increasing day by day. Against this backdrop, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray interacted with the public through Facebook Live. The Chief Minister commented on various issues. Thackeray warned that if the number of cases continued to rise at the current rate, the state would fall short of medical personnel even if health infrastructure could be expanded. Thackeray has said that if no other option is seen in the next two days, lockdown will be the only option that has to be accepted as the world is doing.

He attacked political opponents for threatening protests against lockdown, saying they should be helping the administration tackle the crisis instead. The Chief Minister also targeted  political parties and an industrialist – he did not name anyone – who has spoken against the lockdown in the last few days and suggested that instead, the government should upgrade health infrastructure.Two days ago, Anand Mahindra had advised the Thackeray government about the lockdown through a tweet. Uddhav Thackeray without taking any name slammed Anand Mahindra, saying, "Don't do 'business' of giving advice, make arrangements for 50 doctors and nurses daily." CM also slammed those who do not wear masks.

CM Thackeray’s estranged cousin, Raj Thackeray, who heads the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), has been moving around the entire state defiantly without a mask. When he was asked why he refuses to wear a mask, the MNS president simply shrugged and said, “It’s suffocating.”

Chief Minister without mentioning his name said," Many people think, why should one wear a mask. But, there is nothing brave in not wearing a mask, Not wearing a mask doesn't make you a daredevil." The Chief Minister also said that there is no shame in wearing a mask, there is no bravery in not wearing a mask.
