Maharashtra CM Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray in his address to the state said, "No one should think that lockdown has been lifted. We have just tried to revolve the wheel of economy a bit. I've heard that some people are treating relaxations as lifting of lockdown.If they continue to behave like this we'll take strict measures, said Uddhav Thackeray. 

We've suspended 2 policemen & appointed ADG CID Crime Atulchandra Kulkarni to investigate the matter. Over 100 persons arrested including 5 main accused. There is nothing communal in this whole incident. I have spoken to Amit Shah ji this morning, said the minister on Palghar incident.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state with a total of 4,203 cases. While 507 patients have recovered, 223 deaths have been reported.

Uddhav Thackeray: Palghar Police have arrested 110 people including 9 juveniles, in connection with the lynching of three persons by the villagers, suspecting them as thieves here on Sunday. While 101 people have been remanded in police custody till April 30, 9 others have been sent to a juvenile home.

In his address on Sunday he appealed to the migrant labourers to not worry and said "we are gradually starting activity in Maharashtra again, and if possible, resume work so that your livelihood is ensured. Once things ease, I promise you, the Maharashtra Govt will ensure that you go home."
