A owner of Om Sai Raj Jewellers was shot dead in Rawalpada area of Dahisar on Wednesday morning. Police rushed to the spot and started investigation regarding the case. The injured has been admitted to the hospital and police has registered a case of murder at Dahisar police station and police probe is underway.

The shocking incident took place around 10.45am when three unidentified assailants came on a scooter and shot at him. After shooting the man and then stuffed the jewelleries in two trolley bags before escaping.

Vishwas Nangre Patil, Joint commissioner, Law & Order, reached the spot to overlook the probe and spoke to the victim's family. Meanwhile, a search is on for the accused trio.

The whole incident was recorded on CCTV and police are scrutinizing the footage. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries.
