The letter bomb dropped by Former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh has caused a stir in the country's politics. MPs from BJP and other parties have demanded the imposition of presidential rule in Maharashtra.

On the other hand, NCP chief Sharad Pawar has held a press conference and claimed Anil Deshmukh was in hospital from 5-15 Feb and in quarantine from 16-27 Feb. He dismised the claims made by former Commissioner of Police Parambir Singh of Sachin Vaze and Deshmukh' meeting.

After Pawar's claim, BJP leaders re-shared Anil Deshmukh's old tweet and said that Sharad Pawar was lying. Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis also shared Deshmukh's tweet.

"As mentioned by Parambir Singh in the letter, Anil Deshmukh was quarantined at his residence in Nagpur in mid-February due to corona. So there is no question of anyone meeting him," said Sharad Pawar. Anil Deshmukh presented the documents at the press conference that he was admitted to the hospital due to corona and was quarantined after being discharged.

Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis retweeted Anil Deshmukh's February 15 tweet. Anil Deshmukh was in hospital from 5-15 Feb and in quarantine from 16-27 Feb.But Anil Deshmukh held a press conference on 15 Feb with the security guards, a media representative in front. Who exactly is this? This question has been asked by Fadnavis.

In this video, Anil Deshmukh is seen holding a press conference. Security guards are also seen behind him. So, the media boom mic is also visible in front of them. Therefore, the claim made by Pawar has been questioned.

Fadnavi tweeted,"Shri Sharad Pawar ji said, from 15th to 27th February HM Anil Deshmukh was in home quarantine. But actually along with security guards & media he was seen taking press conference!"

"It seems Sharad Pawar ji is not briefed properly on Parambir Singh letter. In this letter only, the SMS evidence shows that the meeting date was mentioned as end of February. Now who is diverting issue?," read his another tweet.

Former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh has moved Supreme Court seeking an investigation into the allegations made by him against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Singh on Saturday alleged that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had indulged in "malpractices" and asked suspended API Sachin Vaze to collect Rs 100 crore every month.
