Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in the second and last part of his interview published in Shiv Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ on Sunday said though it is a “three-wheeler” government, he is firmly in control of its steering wheel.

“The future of my government is not in the hands of the opposition. The steering is in my hands. A three-wheeler (auto-rickshaw) is a vehicle of poor people. The other two are sitting behind,” Thackeray said in the interview.

Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said,"Uddhav Thackeray has the steering in his hands of the three wheeler Mahavikas Aghadi government. However, the people sitting in the back of the rickshaw decide where to go."

Fadnavis had earlier compared the ruling MVA with a three-wheeler, auto-rickshaw, and raised doubts over its stability.

State BJP president Chandrakant Patil and Mumbai-based office-bearers will attend the meeting from the party office here while others will join virtually, said Maharashtra BJP spokesman Keshav Upadhye.

Devendra Fadnavis, who is the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, while addressing the first meeting of the newly-formed executive committee of the party's Maharashtra unit extended birthday greetings to CM Uddhav Thackeray ,a one-time ally of the alliance, a happy birthday. He also wished the CM on his birthday, praying for his long and healthy life.

Fadnavis said,"we are not interested in overthrowing the MVA government.
