Raj Thackeray, the chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), made a significant announcement today during the party's Gudi Padwa Melava, addressing recent speculations about MNS's alliance choices. Thackeray declared unconditional support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. He also urged all party members to gear up for the upcoming assembly elections.

The MNS Gudi Padwa Melava at Shivaji Park in Mumbai garnered widespread attention from across Maharashtra. Following his meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, there were speculations about the MNS joining the BJP-led alliance and entering the general elections. However, Raj Thackeray’s speech cleared the air.

"The country needs strong leadership today. When I met Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde, I informed them that I am not interested in seat adjustment, Rajya Sabha, or council. I made it clear that I have decided to extend unconditional support to the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP solely to ensure Narendra Modi's re-election as prime minister," Thackeray stated. He also urged his party workers to begin preparations for the upcoming assembly (Maharashtra) elections.
