The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Sachin Vaze, a former assistant police inspector, in connection with the case involving an abandoned SUV found near the home of industrialist Mukesh Ambani was on Sunday sent to the agency's custody till March 25.
Sachin Vaze has been suspended from the police service following the NIA's action. The case is being investigated from various angles. Earlier, Sachin Waze was shifted to JJ Hospital due to ill health.
During a check-up at JJ Hospital, Vaze reports states that he has diabetes, so he is being treated at the hospital. A medical report has revealed that Sachin Vaze has diabetes, TV9 has reported. Vaze already had this problem after getting the treatment he was taken back to the NIA office.
Vaze was suspended by an order of Additional Commissioner of Police (CP) Special Branch.Sachin Vaze, Assistant Police Inspector in the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU), who was transferred to the Citizen Facilitation Centre at Mumbai Police Headquarters after his name came up in Mansukh Hiren death case, has been sent to NIA custody till March 25, in connection with his alleged role and involvement in placing an explosives-laden vehicle near Mukesh Ambani's house in Mumbai on February 25.
