Former state health minister Dr Deepak Sawant has instructed Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to impose a night curfew in Mumbai from 9 pm to 6 am to curb the rising number of corona patients.

He said the night curfew would cause damage to restaurants and bars, but would reduce congestion, mainly at restaurants, bars and pubs. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, Dr. Deepak Sawant visited H West, K East, K West and S and T wards in the western suburbs for the last three or four days.      The coronavirus situation was reviewed after discussing with the Assistant Commissioner, Medical Officer, informed Dr. Deepak Sawant to the Lokmat. Covid can be contracted in young children, so a pediatric ward is needed for them. He also said that there is a need to motivate the citizens for vaccination and increase vaccination and make vaccination facilities available to all. Corona testing should be enhanced.

Citizens are reluctant to wear masks and observe social distanicing. It is also necessary to insist on prior permission for the wedding. COVID-19 testing is required after a certain period of time for the staff at the restaurant, bar. Consideration should also be given to using UV lights in local and public transport. The experiment was successful in Singapore and Hong Kong, where the corona infection has decreased, Dr. Sawant informed the Chief Minister.
