Devotees struggled to secure marquees as processions were delayed.The Meteorological Department has issued a three-day 'Yellow Alert' for the district starting Monday, forecasting light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and winds of 30-40 km/h in isolated locations. Kolhapur experienced only a brief shower with thunderstorms and wind on Sunday evening. A coconut tree fell in Kolhapur's Mirabag area, damaging a shed, but no injuries were reported.

A sultry morning and intense afternoon heat preceded the evening storm. While light showers fell in Kolhapur around 7:00 PM, reports indicate that stormy winds caused damage in several areas. In Mirabag near Rankala Lake, a fallen coconut tree damaged Sachin Chavan's metal shed; the Municipal Fire Department cleared the debris.
