Further in the report presented in the Legislative Assembly it stated that the execution of the scheme lacked transparency. The Uddhav Thackeray-led party had slammed the scheme sayin,"Had the implementation of the scheme been effective, water sufficiency would have been achieved in parts of the state in the real sense. But it did not happen"Total Rs 9,633.75 crore were spent on the programme of the Fadnavis government (2014-19) that aimed to make Maharashtra a drought-free state.
