Maharashtra BJP State President Ravindra Chavan Announces List of Office Bearers; Check Names
BJP State President Ravindra Chavan on Tuesday, February 24, announced the Maharashtra BJP State Executive. Many new faces have been given an opportunity to work at the state level. The party has also assigned new responsibilities to MLAs Gopichand Padalkar and Krishnaraj Mahadik. Keshav Upadhye has been promoted to the executive committee, while Navnath Ban has been appointed as the chief spokesperson. Chavan announced the names at a press conference.
During the briefing, Chavan said that a few months ago, the central leadership entrusted him with the responsibility of state president. At the time, the model code of conduct and consecutive local body elections, including BMC, were in force. For this reason, senior state leaders decided that the state executive and office-bearer appointments should be finalised only after the elections. He added that discussions had been held over the past few months with national president Nitin Nabin, Home Minister Amit Shah, state leader Devendra Fadnavis and others regarding the appointments.

Chavan said that, as per the party constitution and considering the situation in Maharashtra, every BJP worker and office bearer is capable and has contributed to the party’s growth over the years. However, only a limited number of positions can be allotted in the state executive. He said everyone should congratulate those who received appointments. He also acknowledged that several deserving workers could not be included this time, but assured that efforts would be made to provide them opportunities through various organisational roles.
