Maharashtra govt to provide financial assistance to 12 lakh construction workers

The Maharashtra government has made an important decision to provide financial assistance and deposit Rs 2000 in the bank account of Maharashtra Buildings and Other Construction Worker's Welfare Board.

During the time of Coronavirus crisis, Rs 2,000 will be deposited in the form of assistance in the bank account of 12 lakh 20 thousand construction workers in the state. Construction workers are unemployed due to the lockdown and they are facing many problems. They have to face many problems to meet the basic needs of daily life.

The order for deposit of construction workers in the bank account has been issued by Maharashtra Buildings and Other Construction Worker's Welfare Board (BOCW).


A lockdown has been announced by the state and central government due tto Coronavirus pandemic. Lockdown period has been extended till May 3, 2020. During the lockdown period, buildings and other construction work in the state have been halted.
