The decision to lockdown to prevent the spread of corona in Maharashtra is likely to be announced at any moment. The Cabinet ministers in the state have also hinted at a lockdown. Given the growing number of covid cases in the state, it is likely to take 12 to 13 days to break the chain, said Hassan Mushrif, the state's Rural Development Minister.

The Maharashtra government is likely to announce lockdown tomorrow. But the lockdown will be implemented in two days so that people do not have to face inconvenience, he said. A final decision has not yet been made.

Hasan Mushrif has appealed to the migrant workers in the state not to go to their native villages. “Even if a lockdown is declared in the state, the government will take all care of all migrant workers. As Labor Minister, I assure you of this. Maharashtra needs all of you. Therefore, foreign workers should not crowd the railway stations and bus stations to return to their villages ", appealed Hasan Mushrif.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will take a major decision today to impose lockdown in the state and its guidelines will be announced today, said Mumbai Guardian Minister and Minister in the state government Aslam Sheikh. Informing about the lockdown, Aslam Sheikh said, "We want to break the chain of corona. We want to take a decision with the people, taking their advice. We want to implement a good SOP for that."
