The Maharashtra government has extended the lockdown in COVID-19 till June 30. CM Uddhav Thackeray announced the extension while easing of restrictions and resumption of activities in three phases from June 3 to June 8. Calling it “Mission Begin Again”, the government allowed all markets, market areas and shops, except malls, to function from June 5 on odd-even basis. This will exclude containment zones.

Activities allowed in Maharashtra

All private offices can operate with up to 10 per cent strength while remaining persons to work from home.The outdoor portion of sports complexes and stadia will be permitted to open for individual exercises only.All public and private transport will be allowed with the following passenger management: Two-wheeler - 1 rider; Three wheeler - 1 + 2; Four wheeler - 1 + 2Intra-district bus services will be allowed with a maximum 50 per cent capacity per busAll markets will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm.

Activities prohibited in Maharashtra

Prohibited activities include schools, colleges, training, coaching institutions. International air travel, Metro Rail, cinemas, gyms, swimming pools, entertainment parks, movie theatresBarber shops, spas, saloons, beauty parlours, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants and other hospitality services.Intra-district bus services will be allowed while inter-district bus services will not be permitted.Movement of individuals to remain strictly prohibited between 9 pm to 5 am except for essential activities.All religious places and places of worship to remain shut for public.
