Chief Minister Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray on Friday said that, lockdown will not be re-announced. The CM has requested and appealed to the people not to crowd anywhere and follow the instructions given by the government.

There has been some news that claims another lockdown could be imposed in state. The news is completely false which the CM clarified with his tweet that lockdown will not be re-announced.CM Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday while addressing a press conference said, "The Govt is taking cautious steps for ‘Mission Begin Again’. Like we imposed the lockdown in phases, it will have to be lifted in a phased manner. The danger is yet to pass. But, we cannot bring the economic cycle to a grinding halt even as we fight Corona, he said.

If the relaxations to the lockdown starts turning out to be risky, we will be compelled to re-impose the lockdown.

He further said,"The people of Maharashtra have been cooperating with the Government & following instructions. They have faith that the Government is acting in their best interest. I am requesting all to please avoid crowding."Please do not give into fake news about lockdown. As of now, Begin Again is in motion. @CMOMaharashtra Uddhav Thackeray ji has appealed to all citizens to ensure social distancing, so as to not get even close to a lockdown. Safety of citizens is and will be the only parameter," Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray tweeted.
