The number of covid patients in Maharashtra is declining day by day. By mid-April, the number of covid patients had crossed 70,000. Now the same number has come down to 30,000. The covid cases have come down due to strict restrictions imposed in the state for the last one and a half month. As a result, the number of patients in big cities has decreased. But now a new crisis has raised concerns of the administration in the state.

The number of corona patients in the state declined in May. But that same month, the risk of corona in children increased. So far 34,486 children have been infected with corona. This number is constantly increasing. According to the Department of Health, between May 1 and 26, more than 34,000 people under the age of 10 contracted covid.

As on May 1, the number of children infected with covid in the state was 1,38,576. On May 26, this number reached 1,73,060. On May 1, the number of Corona victims in the age group of 11 to 20 years was 3,11,455. On May 26, the same number reached 3,98,266. Young children are feared to be most at risk from the third wave of corona. However, no scientific information is available in this regard. Therefore, parents should not worry, the doctors have appealed.
