Devendra Fadnavis announced that a new “Growth Hub” will be developed in Pune on the lines of infrastructure initiatives in Mumbai. The state also plans to launch an ambitious project to establish media-tech and AVGC centres with a combined investment potential of nearly 50 billion dollars across both cities. AVGC refers to animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics industries. Through these major initiatives, the government aims to generate more than three million employment opportunities while strengthening Maharashtra’s position as a leading destination for technology, media innovation, and digital entrepreneurship.
