In the last 48 hours, 129 new COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in Maharashtra Police. Total number of positive cases rise to 3,388 including 36 deaths and 1945 recoveries, said Maharashtra Police. 

With this the death toll due to the infection in the state police department has risen to 36, officials said.

Maharashtra on Thursday witnessed the highest single-day rise of COVID-19 cases as 3,607 people were tested positive for the disease, taking the state tally to 97,648.
