The tally of confirmed police personnel infected with coronavirus in Maharashtra has surged to 2,562, while 34 have succumbed to the infection.

"In the last 24 hours no new COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra Police have been reported over the last 24 hours, one death reported. Total coronavirus cases in the force stand at 2,562, death toll at 34," Maharashtra Police said.

According to the Union Ministry of Health's latest bulletin, Maharashtra has confirmed 82,968 COVID-19 positive cases.
