147 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the Maharashtra Police force in the last 24 hours.

"147 more policemen found #COVID19 positive in the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, taking the tally to 11,920, including 2,227 active cases, 9,569 recovered cases & 124 deaths of police personnel in the state till date: Maharashtra Police," a statement from Maharashtra Police said.

With a spike of 11,813 COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday, Maharashtra's coronavirus tally stands at 5,60,126, said the Public Health Department.

Active coronavirus cases in Maharashtra stand at 1,49,798, the highest in the country.
