A total of 346 policemen tested positive for COVID-19, while two succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours in Maharashtra on Friday, according to a statement from the Maharashtra Police.

The state police have reported a total of 14,641 total cases, including 2,741 active cases and 11,752 recoveries.

So far, the novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of 148 police personnel.

Meanwhile, the police have registered 2,43,595 offences and arrested 34,017 persons for violating prohibitory orders, the official added. Maharashtra, which is worst affected by the pandemic.
