77 more policemen have tested positive for COVID-19 in Maharashtra, taking the total number of active coronavirus cases in the state to 1,015 on Wednesday.

According to the police, the total number of cases includes 121 police officers and 894 other ranks.

"77 police personnel found positive for #COVID19 & 1 died in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases to 1,015 and death toll to 60 in the force," the police said.

Out of the total, 60 have died due to the infection, it said.
