237 more policemen have tested positive for COVID-19 in Maharashtra in the last 72 hours, taking the total number of active coronavirus cases in the state to 1,040 on Saturday.

According to the police, the total number of cases includes 111 police officers and 929 other ranks.

"237 police personnel found positive for #COVID19 in Maharashtra in the last 72 hours, taking the total number of active cases to 1,040 and death toll to 64 in the force," the police said.

Out of the total, 64 have died due to the infection, it said.
