A Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari on Wednesday over the present situation in Maharashtra.

The meeting with the governor was regarding the political turmoil in the state over Mumbai's former police chief Param Bir Singh's corruption allegation against state home minister Anil Deshmukh. Param Bir Singh on Saturday in his letter alleged that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had indulged in "malpractices" and asked suspended API Sachin Vaze to collect Rs 100 crore every month. In the letter, Singh, who has now been posted as Commandant General of Home Guards, also said that he has been "made a scapegoat to divert attention from the actual wrongdoers".

Devendra Fadnavi along with Maharashtra unit chief Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar and Ashish Shelar were also part of the BJP delegation.

"It is necessary that the Governor should now send a report to President about the current situation and the incidents happening in the state," BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar had said .

The BJP also demanded a high-level investigation through a High Court Judge under the supervision of the Supreme Court or CBI investigation in allegations made by Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh through his letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
