At least 42 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Mumbai's Dharavi area on Monday, taking the total number of cases in the area to 1,583, said the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

According to the BMC, no new death was recorded from Dharavi area today.

On Monday, Maharashtra continues to remain the worst affected state with 50,231 COVID-19 cases, said the Union Health Ministry.
