Only one new case of COVID-19 were reported in Mumbai's Dharavi area on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in the area to 2,335, said the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The last time Dharavi had recorded a single new coronavirus case was on April 5, three months ago.

The civic body has, however, stopped disclosing the number of deaths from the slum dominated area since the last few days without specifying any reason.

The area has now 352 active COVID-19 cases with 1,735 patients having been discharged after recovery.
