Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has called an emergency meeting on Monday at his official residence 'Varsha'. It is learned that a meeting has been convened to review the corona and law and order situation in the state in view of the new strain of coronavirus found in Britain.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, Satish Patil and Shambhuraj Desai are present at the meeting. Besides, Additional Secretary Sitaram Kunte, Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, Additional Law and Order Commissioner Vishwas Nangre-Patil also joined the meeting.

The meeting is being held to address the issues of law and order from December 25 to 31 in the state . Some restrictions are likely to be imposed for Christmas and New Year's amid coronavirus pandemic.
