Unprecedented times, they call it. Months of confusion, cluelessness, anxiety, fear and even depression have gripped people all over the world. When the thought of stepping out of one's home leaves one in doubt, there are many who have made it their life's purpose. Medical practitioners, safaai karmachaaris, NGOs -- so many have worked consistently to keep us safe and our morales from dipping low.

A crisis is also a time when human rights are taken advantage of. Instances of people's issues being disregarded with excuses are aplenty. In such trying times, there have been organizations that have made efforts to feed the less privileged ones at least one meal a day.

It is our responsibility to provide sustenance in order to help them survive this crisis.

Universal Reach Foundation (URF) is one such Mumbai based non-government organization (NGO), with its volunteer team, has served 15,000 meals in localites of Byculla. They have also distributed more than 3000 biscuit packets, 300 bottles of sanitizer, 4000 bottles of arsenicum album (homeopathic immunity booster) among migrant workers, children and slum dwellers throughout Maharashta.

Other than distribution among the less privileged, the NGO has also conducted webinars to educate people on crisis communication.

Mrs. Amrin Moger, URF President, says, "Helping someone doesn’t require a lot of money. It is the willingness to help with whatever one can that counts. That alone has helped us to do whatever we could till now."
