NIA seizes car linked to suspended Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze

Suspended Mumbai Police crime branch officer Sachin Vaze, was arrested in connection with the explosives in a Scorpio car found outside the Antilia building of famous industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has so far seized five vehicles in the ensuing probe. Now, sixth vehicle Outlander has been seized from the premises of Vashi police station.

The Outlander car was parked in a society in the Kamothe area. The locals informed the local police as the vehicle was not in use for several days. From the investigation the owner of the car is identified as Sachin Vaze. A NIA team has reached the spot and further investigation is underway.

So far, the NIA has found two Mercedes, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, an Innova, an explosive-laden Scorpio and recently seized Outlander belonging to Vaze.

In addition to these six vehicles, the NIA is still looking for another Outlander, Audi and Skoda. The register number of the fifth Mercedes seized is from Navi Mumbai RTO and further investigation is being carried out by NIA.

Meanwhile, a NIA team seized two shirts from Sachin Waze. It has also been claimed that the person in CCTV is Sachin Vaze. According to NIA officials, the fifth Mercedes car seized was used for recce 15 days ago on the road outside Ambani's building.
