Maharashtra continues to report highest number of covid cases. The rapidly growing number of cases has put a strain on the health system. Hospitals are facing issues like lack of ventilators, oxygen beds and general beds.

As a result, many covid patients are unable to get themselves admitted in the hospital. A similar situation was reported from a covid hospital in Maharashtra's Osmanabad where covid patients were given oxygen support while they were sitting on a chair. The Osmanabad district hospital appears to have run out of beds.

The news report was published by NDTV, where the Osmanabad district hospital made the patients to sit on chairs as a handful of nurses and doctors do their best to help as many people as possible. A viral clip from the district hospital claims that patients have to sit in chairs for treatment at the hospital due to unavilability of beds. There is also a severe shortage of medical staff.

Osmanabad district reported 681 new cases and seven deaths in the last 24 hours - adding to Maharashtra's new record of over 63,000 infections on Sunday.
