Though Maharashtra is leading in the country in terms of corona vaccination, it is still not satisfactory, said Health Minister Rajesh Tope at a press conference on Wednesday.

During his media interaction he gave an important information regarding the ongoing coronavirus vaccination drive in state. The government is making efforts to increase the number of vaccination centers in the state but the citizens should also take the initiative to vaccinate themselves, said Rajesh Tope.

Tope also commented on rumors and misconceptions about vaccination. Tope informed that the turnout of citizens from Muslim community in vaccination drive is very low.

"It is very important to get vaccinated. The best way to prevent corona is to get vaccinated. So there is no reason to fall prey to any misconceptions about vaccination. All sections of the society should be vaccinated. Vaccination has been found to be low in the Muslim community. In this regard, I have spoken to Abu Azmi and other Muslim MLAs and they have appealed to the citizens to appeal citizens to get vaccinated from the Muslim community. Apart from this, he will also hold discussions with many clerics and religious leaders of the Muslim community and through them he will speak to appeal for vaccination in the society, "said Rajesh Tope.
