The second wave of the Coronavirus hit the entire country. Maharashtra also witnessed an increase in covid cases and deaths. However, now that the second wave of covid seems to be receding, vaccination campaign needs to be stepped up. According to Rajesh Tope, Minister of State for Health, vaccination of citizens between the age of 30 and 44 will be started from June 19.Corona vaccination for citizens in the age group of 30 to 44 will start from Saturday, June 19 in the state. Apart from this, vaccination of citizens above 45 years of age will continue on a regular basis, informed Health Minister Rajesh Tope. The Central Government has given permission to the States to decide the priority of immunization of citizens in the age group of 18 to 44 years. It is said that the decision was taken accordingly.

The state health department has fixed the age group for vaccination planning. Necessary changes will be made in the Co-Win app for planning vaccination sessions for citizens in this age group. Pre-registration for vaccination at government vaccination centers can also be done online and by visiting the center. Additional Director of the Department Dr. Archana Patil has sent a letter to all Deputy Directors of Health, District Surgeons and District Health Officers in this regard. She also instructed to provide training to the concerned employees.
