After the death of Covid patient in the hospital, their relatives were unable to get the important items like wallets, debit cards and jewelery the deceased. There are many complaints in this regard from across the state. Former Health Minister Dr Deepak Sawant has received several complaints from Goregaon East Nesco Kovid Center and other places.

Dr. Deepak Sawant informed that he has requested Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Industry Minister Subhash Desai to deliver their belongings to their close relatives. The Chief Minister has taken note of his complaint and a meeting with Additional Municipal Commissioner Suresh Kakani and police officials will be held next week to decide the policy for the state, he said.

It's been four months since a covid patient in Santacruz who died at the Nesco Covid Center, but his belongings have yet to be returned to his relatives. Sawant also said that a relative of the deceased had recently lodged a complaint with the administration of Nesco Covid Center. During the Corona period, it used to take seven to eight hours to get the body of a dead patient, but it should be reduced, he said.

Individuals in the household are concerned about the overall condition of the covid patient. Therefore, even if this system is available, it is not efficient. Therefore, the relatives of the patient are concerned. This situation is everywhere in the state. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a system to enable the relatives to get the information about the condition of the patient, said Dr. Deepak Sawant.
