Cngress leader Sanjay Nirupan has reacted to the news of NCP chied Sharad Pawar likley to be appointed as UPA Chairperson. As per media reports, NCP chief Sharad Pawar will soon replace Sonia Gandhi as UPA (United Progressive Alliance) chairperson.

Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam tweeted,"The campaign going against Rahul Gandhi from Delhi to Mumbai is a part of the same plan to make Sharad Pawar the UPA's Chairperson. The 23-signature letter was written under the same campaign. Then the lack of consistency was found under the leadership of Rahul ji. There is a big plan to eradicate the Congress itself."

If sources are to be believed, Sonia Gandhi’s reluctance to continue in the top job has been evident for a while and she is hopeful that her replacement will be found soon, and Pawar is the man likely for the job. Rahul Gandhi has also refused to succeed his mother as UPA Chairperson.

The Congress will hold elections early next year to select a new president.

As per sources, Rahul Gandhi will be the face of the UPA but Sharad Pawar will be the chairman of UPA, being its senior-most leader.
