Seven days of strict lockdown announce in ten places near Navi Mumbai due to rise in COVID-19 cases

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has decided to lockdown the ten most affected areas to coronavirus. A special health check-up will be conducted in 70,712 houses in the area. All shops in the area will be closed except for essential services. The number of corona in Navi Mumbai has reached 5,853 and 194 people have died so far. Thane District Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde reviewed the situation in the Corporation area. 

The meeting was attended by MP Rajan Vichare, Commissioner of Police Sanjay Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Annasaheb Misal. Currently, the city has 34 containment zones. These zones are limited to the floor of the house or building where the patient is found. The meeting decided to declare ten special containment zones .There will be a special lockdown in the area between June 29 and July 5. All transactions except essential services will be closed. The corporation will conduct a survey in 70, 712 houses in these ten places. If any suspicious patient is found, his swab will be tested.
