Over the past few days, the number of corona cases in Maharashtra has started to increase once again. Many ministers of the state and leaders from ruling parties have also been infected with the corona. As the number of covid cases are increasing, it has also given birth to fresh blame games between the ruling party and the opposition. The Shiv Sena has hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), blaming the saffron party for the rising coronavirus cases in Maharashtra.

Opposition in Maharashtra should understand that AIIMS is not a constituent party of the Mahavikas Aghadi. People need to act responsibly to avoid re-lockdown. Opposition parties should also be aware of their responsibilities, said Shiv Sena init's editorial in Saamna.

The situation will get out of hand if the cases keep increasing. Top medical institutions like AIIMS have raised awareness of the danger. Before raising the issue, Opposition needs to understand the pandemic situation in the state, Sena targeted the opposition from Saamna editorial.

At a time when five states, including Maharashtra, have witnessed a sudden spurt in coronavirus cases, AIIMS director Dr Randeep Guleria on Saturday said the new Indian strains of coronavirus found in Maharashtra could be highly transmissible and dangerous. He said herd immunity for coronavirus is a “myth” in the country y because at least 80 per cent people need to have antibodies for the whole of the population to be protected.
