Solapur Bus Accident: 2 Passengers Killed, Several Injured After ST Bus Collides With Dumper On Solapur-Akkalkot Highway
A major accident took place near the Ruddewadi bus stop on the Solapur-Akkalkot highway when a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), also known as ST bus, collided with a dumper loaded with murrum soil (gravel). The accident occurred at around 2 pm on Monday, May 4. Following the collision, the dumper caught fire, resulting in the death of two passengers.
According to police, the ST bus was travelling towards Ganagapur via Akkalkot when the dumper rammed into it head-on near the Ruddewadi bus stop. The collision caused extensive damage to the bus. After the accident, the dumper overturned and caught fire. Several passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries, while some were seriously injured. Police said two passengers have died in the accident and warned that the death toll could rise.

Local residents rushed to the spot to assist the victims after the crash. Police teams also reached the scene shortly after receiving information about the incident. The injured are being admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
