The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) commenced its investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput on Friday, two days after the Supreme Court asked the agency to take over the case, as it questioned a former staff of the Bollywood actor and collected documents and reports from Mumbai Police.
The case was earlier being investigated by the Mumbai Police. However, actors fans including Sushant's family, demanded a CBI probe. The BJP has accused the Mahavikas Aghadi government of trying to save someone powerful in the actors death.
Recently, Sandip Ssingh is in the news because of his connection with Sushant Singh Rajput. The producer was at the forefront after the death of Sushant. He claimed that the late actor was his close friend. Sandip was among the first people who came to Sushant's flat after his body was found hanging there. He also attended Sushant's funeral a day later.
However, Sushant Singh Rajput's family said that they didn't know about Sandip Ssingh. The family's lawyer had said that since the actor's sister, Meetu Singh, was devastated after seeing Sushant's body and was lying in the room, Sandip saw an opportunity and took charge. He also questioned about how Sandip Ssingh came there.
The Congress party has now retaliated strongly against the BJP. Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant has tweeted a photo of Sandeep Ssingh with former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis. Sawant has asked Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to inquire into the BJP's role in the case.The CBI will probe Sandeep Ssingh in the drugs case. Sandeep Ssingh was the producer of PM Narendra Modi 2019 biopic film.
The poster of the film was launched by Devendra Fadnavis, 'Sawant said in a tweet. He also shared photos of Fadnavis at the poster launch event in a tweet.
Sawant tweeted, "1. Is this why no investigation ordered by fadnavis govt? 2. Was Sandeep Singh the reason CBI & ED hurriedly brought in? 3. As Topmost leaders of BJP are very close to bollywood, were not they privy to drug dealing?"
