Triple Murder in Nanded: Rival Gang Clash Leaves Two Dead on Spot, One Killed Inside Hospital
Three people were killed after members of two rival gangs clashed in the early hours of Saturday in Nanded, Maharashtra, police said. The violent incident took place around 1:30 am near a mall in the city. Police have detained five suspects in connection with the case, an official confirmed. Superintendent of Police Abinash Kumar said members of the Sada gang and the Sai Lala gang attacked each other using daggers and other sharp weapons. Two people died on the spot during the clash, according to news agency PTI.
A third victim, who had sustained serious injuries, was taken to a government hospital for treatment. However, he was allegedly attacked again inside the hospital’s casualty ward and succumbed to his injuries. The deceased have been identified as Arjit Singh, Sayyed Avez, and Mohammad Arbaz. Police said the two gangs had an ongoing rivalry. On Friday night, Singh and his friends were returning after watching a movie when members of the rival gang, who were allegedly tracking their movements, intercepted them.
During the confrontation, Singh and Arbaz were killed on the spot. The third victim, Avez, was later allegedly stabbed to death in the hospital by Singh’s brother, police said. Following the incident, teams from the local crime branch, forensic experts, and a dog squad were deployed at the scene to collect evidence. Authorities said the process of registering a cross FIR is currently underway and further investigation is in progress.
