Maharashtra Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Vijay Wadettiwar has made a big statement while speaking on the issue of  temporary closure of vaccination centers in the state. "The covid situation in state is getting very serious. More than half of the cases reported in the country are from Maharashtra then it must be given more vaccines. Therefore, the central government should vaccinate Maharashtra before providing vaccines to Pakistan, "demanded Vijay Wadettiwar.

The supply of covid vaccine has heated up politics in state. Although the vaccine is being supplied by the Centre, the state government is criticizing it for not getting the required stock of vaccines as its speed is very slow.

People in Maharashtra are angry over not getting the vaccine, and many vaccination centres are closed due to the shortage of doses, said the ruling parties in the state.

According to the needs of the states and the vaccination capacity, the supply of vaccines from the Centre is on. The BJP is claiming that Maharashtra has got the highest supply of vaccines till date.

Considering the growing number of coronavirus cases in state, a three-week strict lockdown instead of a weekend lockdown will have to be imposed. However, looking at the present covid situation weekend lockdown will not be useful instead a strict lockdown of 3 weeks needs to be imposed, said Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Vadettiwar. The minister said that three-week complete lockdown will help to curb the spread of the virus.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday called an all-party meeting via video conference to review the current COVID-19 situation in the state. The meeting could be followed by an announcement of a lockdown in the state.
