VBA chief Prakash Ambedkar undergoes bypass surgery

Prakash Ambedkar, chief of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi on Thurday announced to go on a three-month leave. Rekha Thakur has been given the charge of the party in order to ensure smooth running of the party's agitation and election program. After Ambedkar's announcement, many had questions. Meanwhile, Ambedkar's condition is stable and a health bulletin was issued on today.

Adv Prakash Ambedkar, president of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, underwent immediate bypass surgery on July 8. He is currently in the ICU, his condition is stable and there is no cause for concern, doctors said. He will remain in hospital for a few more days, the medical bulletin said.
