A corporator from Worli, which has been a coronavirus hotspot with several confirmed cases in Mumbai, has tested positive for the deadly virus over the last weekend.

As per reports, she was admitted to a private hospital in South Mumbai and her condition is stable. Her husband, who is also associated with the same political party she represents in the Brihanmumbai municipal corporation, has tested COVID-19 positive.

"Both of them are in a stable condition. The corporator was initially taken to Kasturba hospital. However, it was later decided to move her to a private hospital," said the Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar.
