Firing Outside Rohit Shetty’s Residence: Crime Branch Forms 12 Teams to Nab Suspect
The Mumbai Crime Branch, along with Mumbai Police, has intensified its investigation into the firing incident outside film director Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu, officials said on Sunday.
According to Mumbai Police, twelve special teams have been formed by the Crime Branch to trace and apprehend the suspect involved in the case. Multiple leads are being examined, and efforts are underway to identify the accused through technical surveillance and CCTV footage collected from the surrounding areas.
The firing incident took place late on Saturday night, when four bullets were allegedly fired outside the filmmaker’s residence, triggering security concerns in the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Senior police officials said that a thorough probe is underway, and all possible angles, including personal enmity and extortion threats, are being investigated. Forensic teams have also collected evidence from the spot, while CCTV footage from nearby buildings and roads is being analysed.
Mumbai Police have assured that stringent action will be taken against those responsible, and security arrangements in the area have been strengthened as a precautionary measure.
