BJP candidate Prakash Gangadhar won by a margin of 8,331 votes from Ward no. 104 in Mumbai's Gamdevi on Friday, January 16. Gangadhar got a total of 5,569 votes, while Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) candidate Rajesh Chavan received 7,238 votes and Congress candidate Hemant Bapat got 4,068 votes in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections 2026.
A total of 12 candidates was in the fray in Ward No. 104. The candidates include Santosh Ghanshyam Adsule of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Shivaji Vinayak Khadtale of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-Ajit Pawar), Prakash Kashinath Gangadhare of the BJP, Rajesh Vinayak Chavan of the MNS, Hemant Bapat of the Congress, and Nitin Bhikaji Shinde of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Others contesting the election are Vinod Bhaurao Jadhav of the Republican Party of India (Ramdas Athawale), Anil Sonkar of the Uttar Bharatiya Vikas Sena, and independent candidates Pankaj Vishnu Chandanshive, Sarang Prahlad Jadhav, Sameerbhai Shah-Patil, and Jaydesh Aniruddha Pandey.
