Elphinstone road overbridge of Mumbai which used by daily commuters which was set to close on April 10 continues to remain even today.  Reports claimed that the bridge was supposed to close on 15th April, but as of now, there is no confirmation from authorities regarding a final closure date. Even after official confirmation from the Mumbai Traffic Police about the scheduled closure, no action has been taken so far.

Elphinstone's overbridged was constructed in 1913 during the British era and is one of the main connections between Parel and Prabhadevi. This bridge is all set to be demolished and replaced with a modern double-decker bridge under the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s (MMRDA) infrastructure plans.
