Another arm for Mumbai Coastal Road connecting Haji Ali Juice Centre to Marine Drive opened on Wednesday for vehicular traffic. Vehicles can now enter directly on a high-speed connector from Haji Ali to reach Marine Drive. Earlier, southbound vehicles had to enter coastal roads either from the Worli interchange or Amarson's interchange apart from the direct connectivity that is provided via Bandra Worli Sea Link.

The Haji Ali interchange consists of eight vehicular arms, which is followed by the Amarson's and Worli interchange comprising four five and four arms each. Now, only one arm awaits an opening at the Worli interchange that would provide direct connectivity towards the Bandra Worli Sea Link to northbound vehicles coming from Worli.

“The last section at the Worli interchange of Mumbai Coastal Road, providing direct access from Worli to the Bandra Worli Sea Link for northbound traffic, is in its final stage. We expect it to open by the third week of March," said a BMC official, reported News18.

Meanwhile, the northbound arm of the coastal road, which is a bow-string bridge connected to the Bandra Worli Sea Link, was opened on January 27, 2025. This new route has significantly cut travel time between Bandra and Marine Drive to just 10-12 minutes, providing a faster and more efficient option for thousands of daily commuters.
