Mumbai Fire: Blaze Erupts in Juhu Koliwada, One Injured

Mumbai:  Fire broke out near Bajrangi Chowk in Juhu Koliwada on Monday, April 6, 2026. In this incident one person got injured. Firefighting operations were underway in the narrow lanes as thick black smoke billowed from the area. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Video of this incident was shared by Bandra Buzz, shows a black layer of fumes coming out of the lane.  This is reportedly the second such incident in the area in recent months, with a similar fire occurring on December 13 of last year. 

Meanwhile, A car was completely destroyed after catching fire near the Kalika Mata Temple at Teen Hath Naka on the Mumbai-Nashik Highway in Thane (West) late on Saturday night, according to officials. The incident was reported to the Disaster Management Cell at approximately 11:54 pm. As per the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation, the car owner was driving alone from Powai to Kolshet when he noticed flames emerging from the vehicle. Acting swiftly, he pulled over to the roadside and exited the car safely, avoiding any injuries in the frightening incident.

Authorities confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident. Soon after receiving the alert, multiple emergency response teams rushed to the location.
